Dr. Parveen Chopra was recently honored with the Presidential Philanthropy Award by the Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration Committee at its 30th Awards ceremony, held at the Marriott Hotel in Uniondale, New York. He received the award for his significant contributions to the Martin Luther King Scholarships, which provide financial support to high school students of merit and need who aim to attend college.

During the ceremony, Reverend Dr. Reginald Tuggle praised Dr. Chopra for his lifelong commitment to community service, highlighting him as a role model for the next generation. Julius Pearce, President of the Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration Committee, commended Dr. Chopra for his integrity, leadership, and financial contributions during his tenure as Chairperson of Finance for the organization.

In addition to this honor, Dr. Chopra has been recognized with the Congressional Ellis Island Medal of Honor, the New York State Bar Association's Haywood Burns Memorial Award, and the Nassau County Bar Association's Liberty Bell Award. He has served with distinction in political and public life for over 25 years.
