In 1938, the visionary scholar Late Padma Shri Kulapati Dr. K. M. Munshi, with the blessings of Late Shri. Mahatma Gandhi, founded Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan as a Temple of Learning and a Guardian of "Bharatiya Sanskriti." Since its inception, this institution has grown into a beacon of Indian culture, dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of India around the world.

In 1981, under the inspiring leadership of Shri Jayaraman ji, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan USA. began its journey to bring this noble vision to the United States. Today, under the esteemed guidance of Chairman Dr. Navin Mehta, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan USA. has flourished as a cultural hub, offering a platform to legendary artists from various fields of performing arts, both from India and the U.S.A. We proudly organize over 40 programs a year, fostering the arts without bias towards caste, creed, language, or religion. Our offerings include classes in sitar, Hindi, Sanskrit, and classical dance, nurturing future generations in the timeless traditions of India.
